Disclaimer: I received a FREE copy of this product through the HOMESCHOOL REVIEW CREW in exchange for my honest review. I was not required to write a positive review nor compensated in any other way.

This begins my second year of reviewing products and curriculum through the Homeschool Review Crew.  I cannot believe how quickly last year flew by, and that I am here once again writing my first review of the year.  Like last year, our first review is of the Ultimate PreK-12 Annual Membership from

The Ultimate PreK-12 Annual Membership is a one-year subscription to SchoolhouseTeachers.comThis is an online membership with access to a wide variety of resources that will make homeschooling simpler and more cost effective.

What kind of resources does it offer?

Honestly, there are so many amazing features offered at SchoolhouseTeachers.comThe picture below shows some of these amazing features and attributes.

If you read over that list there are a few things that may jump out at you.  Some such things are report card generators, monthly meal menus, NO COMMON CORE, and a scope and sequence to show what to teach and when.

Where to begin?

Which such an all-inclusive resource, you may feel a little overwhelmed.  Luckily, the creators of understand this.  Upon logging in, you are taken to a welcome screen.  This welcome screen suggests resources to help you get started such as browsing courses and creating schedules in the Schedule Builder.  There is also a wonderful “Start Here” tab that helps you know where to begin.  This is the easiest way for me to look for courses.

Speaking of courses, this is one of my favorite aspects of SchoolhouseTeachers.comThere is such a wide variety of courses available for all grade levels from Pre-K to High School. The picture below shows the broad categories available.

This was a great way for my children to choose some electives that they wanted to learn.  My son, Zathan, really wanted to learn Spanish this year.   When I clicked on the broad are of “Foreign Language”, I was immediately given several options to explore.

Having never taken a Spanish course before, and because of his age, Elementary Spanish was the choice we went with.

Once you select a course, you are taken to a page that shows gives you an outline, lesson plans, course length and class lessons.  You can even print a certificate of completion.

When I went to the lesson page, I was able to see all the video lessons.

When I went to the first and second lesson page, I was given access to the materials that I needed to download and print.  As well as the video.

The lesson plans feature is another great feature that I loved.  It is found under the planning tab and provides access to many lesson plans in a variety of subjects.

Click the image of the sample lesson plan below to be taken to a video that explains the lesson plans feature in more detail.

The video library is one of my favorite features.  By clicking on the video tab you are transported to a collection of videos broken down by subject.

Since we were in the midst of Christmas, I chose to utilize these videos with my children.

The videos contain a download that can be used as a viewing guide, or as a written or oral review after watching the video.

With so many resources available at your disposal within is would be easy to create and build your homeschool curriculum without the need to spend hundreds of dollars.  This could be done by selecting your core subjects, such as Math, Writing, Science, etc. and choosing which course you would want to use with your children.  Then, by selecting elective subjects, you can provide your children with a well-rounded, comprehensive homeschool experience.

The use of planning tools such as the Master Course Checklist would make this a breeze.  The checklist list the courses in alphabetical order by broad subject (also alphabetized), and the grade level at which the course is taught.  Printing this out and keeping it in an easy to find location would prove to be the most beneficial.

While the Literacy Center is not a feature that I personally utilized, the benefits to those who are teaching their children to read are impossible to not mention.  The Literacy Centers offers downloadable books for grades K-4.

Also included in the Literacy Center are “I Can” statements that will help the parent quickly see what skill their child should be able to do by the end of their reading level.

The Focused Learning Centers is a great resource for parents to help their children, whether they are struggling on a subject, or doing well.  For an overview of Focus Learning Centers click the image below.

There are so many more amazing features that I could share with you, but you need to explore it for yourself.  If you would like to purchase of the Ultimate PreK-12 Annual Membership from use the codes listed below to gain access for $99 for a year, or you can get a monthly membership for $12 per month.
