REVIEW: NatureGlo’s eScience MathArt & Science Course Bundle from NatureGlo’s eScience

Disclaimer: I received a FREE copy of this product through the HOMESCHOOL REVIEW CREW in exchange for my honest review. I was not required to write a positive review nor was I compensated in any other way.

My children are naturally curious.  Everyday they ask me what seems to be a million questions about why things happen, or how things work.  My son usually begins his question with “Mommy, I don’t get this.”  I wish I had all the answers to their questions, but sometimes I don’t.  I look them up and attempt to find the answer.  This natural curiosity of children is why science is crucial to their educational development. This is why I was eager to review NatureGlo’s eScience MathArt & Science Course Bundle from NatureGlo’s eScience.

NatureGlo’s eScience was created by Gloria Brooks.Gloria holds a bachelors in K-12 education.  She has over 20 years’ experience with teaching and facilitating self-directed learning experiences.  She is a self-described “Relaxed Eclectic Homeschool & Unschool Coach & Teacher”

NatureGlo’s eScience MathArt & Science Course Bundle is a collection of courses that was bundled together specifically for the Review Crew.  By bundling the courses together, we were able to receive a wide variety of courses to review.

The courses are designed for varying ages, with the emphasis being age 10 and up.  They can be used in a variety of ways, depending on your homeschool setup.  They can be used as unit studies, or as supplemental lessons to a curriculum.

I chose to let my children explore the courses on their own.  While they can be used by individual students, we chose to use them together.  Each child took turns choosing which course they wanted to complete.  I chose to do it this way because we are limited on technology and time.

For each course, students will have a PowerPoint that Gloria sometimes teaches with, as well as a study guide.  For us this was beneficial.

The courses vary between science and math.  Some of the science courses include botony and marine biology.

Some of the math courses include Escher, and shapes in nature.

The courses are easy to navigate.  My children were able to move through the lessons easily with very little direction from me.

After completing a course, the user(s) earn achievement’s showing what courses have been complete.

So, what did we think?  Each of my kids loved that the courses required little input from me.  They liked taking ownership of their learning, which was an added bonus for me.

My oldest son loved the Introduction to Sharks course. He especially loved learning about a sharks respiration system.

My youngest son, who loves Math, loved Polygons and Patterns in Nature.  He loved learning about archimedean solids.

My daughter loved Tide Pool Communities.  We are huge beach fans but have had to cancel two trips this year due to the pandemic.  This course reminded her of some of the creatures we have found, and has inspired her to find more the next time we are able to go.

Overall, we all loved NatureGlo’s eScience MathArt & Science Course Bundle from NatureGlo’s eScience.
