REVIEW: One More Story

DISCLAIMER: I received this complimentary product through the Homeschool Review Crew.

As a self-proclaimed bibliophile, and a mother who read to her children every night, books are amazing. Our family loves reading.  My children are older now, and occasionally, I will still read aloud to them at night.  Although the books are longer, and not as cutesy, the love we have for books remain.  Recently, we were give the opportunity to review a one-year subscription to One More Story.

One More Story is a collection of picture books for early readers, that is housed in one location.  A digital library.

The stories contained in the digital library are stories that have captivated readers for years.  Stories such as Stellaluna, and The Snowy Day can be found.

There are two modes available for us.  The Read-Along Mode the story is read to the user.  Each word is highlighted red as it is read aloud.  This helps the reader with word recognition and other basic fundamentals of reading. Each story is set to music and is narrated to make the books more engaging to the user.

The I Can Read It mode does not contain music or narration. The child reads the book independently with the option to click on unfamiliar words.

While in the independent reading mode, any word that a child clicks on will be added to their own word list. These words can be practiced, and once they have mastered them, can be removed from the list.

One More Story can be used on any device that is able to access the internet.  Any web browser can be used, however, Chrome and Safari are the preferred browser.  There is also an iOS app available for download.

One More Story has received many awards.  The image below shows the recognition that One More Story has been given.

There are three options for subscribing to One More Story.  A Three-Month subscription is available for $16.99, a Six-Month subscription is available for $28.99, and a One-Year subscription is available for $45.99.
